Wow, what a game in Norman Saturday night! Points were scored and records almost fell as the Sooners beat Texas A&M 42-14. It was the Jermaine Gresham and Sam Bradford show against the Aggies. Gresham tied the school record with 4 TD receptions in a game and Bradford tied his best TD performance with 5. The 5 TD throws put Bradford's total for the year at 25 which is the fourth best in school history! The dude has played a total of nine games--amazing. He's in serious contention for the Davey O'Brien Award in my opinion.
What was the deal with DeMarco Murray lining up ala-Darren McFadden? Is Kevin Wilson getting creative on us all of a sudden? I won't argue with the decision, there's no better player to do it with than Murray.
The toughest part of the game came when Auston "Sack-Master" English went down with an ankle injury. You never want to see such a dominant player go down. I hear it won't be that bad. Let's hope he's back after Baylor.
Now for the "BC-Mess" OU climbs to #5 after ASU lost to Oregon and BC fell to FSU. One would think that OU would naturally move into third or fourth place right? But wait! Who's that ahead of OU? If it isn't Mark Mangino and his J-Hawks at #4 in the BCS! Now that's just crazy. What's crazier is the final score they hung on Nebraska. A football school got trounced by a basketball school, but that's another story. I thought I'd seen it all this year in college football. Guess not.
In other Sooner news, props to "AD"!!!! Rookie of the Year, future league MVP, future Hall of Famer, the list goes on. In case you didn't hear, Adrian Peterson set the NFL record for rushing yards (296) in a game on Sunday. Oh yeah, and it's his eighth game of professional ball.
